S is for stress; a working woman's handbook

Article Abstract:

Over half the women with children younger than three have jobs. Working women still do 70-80% of the chores at home. These and other factors are causing an increase in chronic stress among women. Exercise is one way to relieve stress. This, and other means of coping with stress are discussed.

In-line skating can burn as much as 800 calories an hour with little stress to the joints. An exercise routine that teaches basics such as stopping and starting, and more advanced moves, such as turning and crossover steps is presented.
