Should you worry about Rh disease?

Article Abstract:

Rh disease occurs when a mother with Rh-negative blood and a father with Rh-positive blood have a baby with Rh-positive blood. Pregnant women can take a blood test to determine if they are Rh negative and be vaccinated to prevent Rh disease in the baby.

AIDS in babies: prevention and treatment update

Article Abstract:

Approximately 3,200 children had contracted AIDS as of Aug 1991. One symptom of perinatal AIDS is frequent infections. Women can help prevent perinatal AIDS by obtaining HIV screening before they become pregnant.
