Research for reporters
Article Abstract:
A study on the factors affecting investigative journalism is discussed. Findings of the study show that the financial situation of periodicals does not determine the number of investigative articles published by companies since the data indicates that the financially better-off companies did fewer investigative reports than the poorer companies. A reporter's determination and energy, the newsroom's creative atmosphere and the editor's management style are the most important factors in investigative journalism.
