The debate over the safety of silicone breast implants and silicone-containing Norplant contraceptives is likely to continue until a National of Health Institutes study of 12,000 women is released in 1997. Until then, litigation against Dow Corning and Wyet-Ayerst continues.

Painful breasts

Breast pain felt occasionally are usually considered normal and women should not be alarmed about it. Most breast pain start at the age of 30 to 40 years old and usually caused by normal, physical changes in breast structure caused by premenstrual hormonal changes.
