Article Abstract:

A parent asks if it is bad to let their one-yr-old watch TV while they are doing something else. The parent is told to limit the TV to two half-hour sessions per day, to screen what the child watches, to watch with the child at times and to provide alternative activities.

Your child's behavior; is you baby a self-soother?

Article Abstract:

Infants have capabilities to soothe themselves in stressful situations which is why they develop such habits as thumb sucking and blanket holding. Self-soothing behaviors are harmless, positive stages in an infant's development and should not concern parents.
