When weight gain is the goal

Article Abstract:

Casbon's determination to shed a few pounds when she was 13 years old led to obsession and, ultimately, anorexia nervosa. Her family's concern drove her to regain her lost weight after being entered into an eating disorders clinic. After gaining 48 lbs, her health and confidence have been restored.

How exercise works

Regular exercise improves the ability of muscles to oxidize fats and carbohydrates and to take oxygen out of the bloodstream. How muscles respond to exercise is discussed.
