The author recounts his experiences on Nus Tarian, an island in the Banda Sea in Indonesia, where he stayed in the early 1970s after a typhoon damaged his fishing boat. Island customs, including dance, clothing, food, and ways of thinking significantly different from those of Western culture, such as assigning colors to sounds and music.

Article Abstract:
Road hockey and in-line skating are outdoor activities during spring in Canada. In 'Kick the Can,' co-written by Sharon McKay and David MacLeod, traditional street games are featured, complete with equipment in a can. Outdoor playing is one opportunity for parents to teach kids about safety.

Karen Carpenter's second life

Carpenter made the album solo at age of 29, but self-doubt, her brother Richard's negative criticism, problems with her mother, and the non-release of the album, aggravated her disease. She failed to change her sticky sweet image of the 70s. So the album will only be a souvenir for her fans.
