Sweat glamour

Article Abstract:

Women used to wear heavy makeup when going to health clubs in the 1980s, but they are wearing lighter, water-resistant makeup in the 1990s. Exercisers used to view health clubs as places to meet members of the opposite sex, but they see them as places to become physically fit in the 1990s.

Snowboarding has become the fastest growing sport in the US because of the excitement it brings to enthusiasts. At first, many thought snowboarding was only for those who could not master skiing. As of now, participation in the sport has increased by 33%since 1996, and 228% since 1987.

Fit and fat? New research suggests that carrying some extra weight might not compromise your health after all

Article Abstract:

Overweight men die earlier than normal-weight men, but research indicates that overweight men who exercise live as long as normal-weight men. Overweight men who are physically fit are less likely to die prematurely than normal-weight men who are not physically fit.
