Swimming in the mainstream
Article Abstract:
Canada has practised mainstreaming in its schools where disabled children are included in 'normal' classes. In Vancouver alone, $26.6 million goes to extra programs annually for its disabled children. Coupled with questions of its effectivity and effect on normal children, the program has still much to contend with.

Deadly errors

The death of four-year-old Courtney Braund and another British Columbia child occurred due to human medical errors which could have been prevented. Hospitals are thus encouraged to hire human factors analysts, trained specialists who design systems to reduce the likelihood of mistakes.
