Swimming the Channel

Article Abstract:

Eva Mortensen has always wanted swim the English Channel. She crossed at the end of August 1996. She was hampered by the cold water, heavy waves, and severe nausea. There were occasions when she wished that she could quit, but she persevered and became the 501st person to cross the Channel.
