Taking the mystery out of prenatal tests

Diagnostic prenatal tests can detect deformities in the developing fetus and verify the health status of the mother. Details on procedures, functions and prices of tests such as urinalysis, ultrasound, chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis and diabetes tests are presented.

Delaying pregnancy

Article Abstract:

Women who become pregnant after age 30 experience more complications during their pregnancy and delivery than women who are less than 30 years old, according to a study published in 1990. The complications include higher rates of miscarriage and chromosomal abnormalities.
