The Hollywood picnic: a hip, alfresco approach to good food and a good time

Artist Bob Blumer's cookbook, 'The Surreal Gourmet: Real Food for Pretend Chefs,' includes recipes that excite all the senses. Key to his approach to picnicking is to take along basic fresh foods to be assembled with seasonings. Sample recipes are included.
