The baby-fat battle

Babies should have eat a diet high in fat from birth until they are two years old to maintain good health. Fat is important for brain development, and a low-fat diet may not contain adequate nutrition for babies. Fat also helps the body absorb important nutrients.

The first 50 minutes after childbirth are a busy time for the new mother and the baby. The baby is cleaned off, examined by the pediatrician, shown to his parents, fed breast milk or bottled milk and put into a hospital bassinet to rest.
