The teens' search for individuality brings changes parents will have to deal with cautiously. New friends, dating and self-absorption characterize this stage. Parents should not force their goals on their children. Instead, flexibility and sensitivity to their teens' needs should prevail.

My day-care kid

Article Abstract:

Day care does not destroy the parent-child bond since many children who spend their preschool years in day care form strong bonds with their parents. A woman who had her son in day care justifies this by pointing out a strong bond between them lasting into his adulthood.
