The importance of being imperfect

Article Abstract:

A divorced mother awakened from a nine-day coma with the new attitude that being imperfect at work and home was alright. Being off-center at times engenders the ability to show compassion to others when their flaws show. If all working mothers would strive less for perfections, society would change.

Who are the happiest new mothers?

Article Abstract:

A Jul 1991 survey of working mothers revealed that new mothers who returned to work within six weeks after the birth of a child were least happy with their jobs. Most mothers returned to work because of financial reasons, but others cited rewards from working as a reason.

Are you a good role model?

Article Abstract:

Children whose mothers work outside the home are viewing their mothers as role models and playing 'work' instead of playing with their toys. Daughters develop a positive attitude toward work if their mothers are happy in their jobs.
