Article Abstract:
The political/sex scandal involving Pres Bill Clinton and White House intern Monica Lewinsky has created a wide-scale dispute between women rights movements and anti-feminist groups. Although the validity of the sexual harassment charge against Pres Clinton has yet to be confirmed, women organizations have stressed the moral implications of establishing a sexual affair with subordinates. On the other hand, anti-feminist groups continue to prey on Lewinsky's private life, citing a number of issues regarding her sexual affairs.

Hate crimes legislation vital to women's lives
Article Abstract:
The 1999 Hate Crimes Prevention Act needs to be enacted by Congress to address the growing incidence of hate crime against women. Enactment of the act would mean an expansion in the power of the federal government to investigate a hate crime by removing the existing requirement which mandates that the victim be exercising a federally protected right. It would allow the federal government to investigate and prosecute not only bias-motivated crimes based on religion, race and ethnicity, but also those motivated by sex.
