Article Abstract:
Drunk driving is one of the most rampant criminal causes of death in Canada. What makes matters worse is that drunk drivers rarely tend to repeat their crimes because they rarely get caught. Despite the government's ambitious prevention programs, the number of repeat offenders is still increasing.

The divorce busters

A number of individuals have made it their life's work to help couples in troubled marriages avoid divorce. These include British Columbia Council for Families employee Mark Tasaka and Canadian couple Janet and Barry Collick who established the Marriage Builders program.

The residents of a North Vancouver community succeeded in booting out convicted pedophile Robert Owens who moved into their neighborhood after getting out of jail. Their efforts included rallies, information campaigns in schools and Block Watch notices.
