Article Abstract:
Pregnant women should exercise their pelvic floor muscles to prevent incontinence and strengthen this weakened area. Kegel exercises involve the squeezing and holding of these vaginal/rectal muscles, and will strengthen them. The effect of episiotomy on the pelvic floor is discussed.

A new use for ultrasound
Article Abstract:
Ultrasound is expected to replace amniocentesis as a method of diagnosing neural tube defects, including spina bifida. Ultrasound is considered to be safer than amniocentesis and 98% accurate.
