Human- and work-centered safety: keys to a new conception of management
Article Abstract:
The development of a new paradigm for human- and work-centered safety is discussed. Existing safety paradigm is considered a group of safety-related concepts, theories and methods that fail to address the areas of industrial accidents and high-risk system functions. It is argued that a new paradigm should focus on the field personnel's subjective descriptions of their work and integrate cooperation, communication and elaboration.
