Unsolved rape cases are being reinvestigated as new scientific methods are used to test DNA samples. The evidence stored in `rape kits' which have been kept by the police and can be reexamined. A 17 year old case involved rape victim Linda Mitchell, the rapist was eventually found by the use of new scientific techniques.
