Latest developments in the prevention and treatment of breast cancer are discussed. Tamoxifen appears able to reduce by half the cases of new cancers in women who are at enhanced risk from the disease. Women who exercise during breast cancer treatment experience less tiredness and weight gain than those who do not exercise.

Approximately 85% of the 7.4 million cosmetic procedures of 2000 were performed on women, and gynecologists are incorporating them into their standard practice.
