Today's quest for continuous learning
Article Abstract:
A 2001 US Department of Education study reveals that the participation rate in adult education has increased by 6% from 1995 to 2001, and found that women have a higher involvement that men. This trend indicates that more adult workers are realizing that further education can increase competitiveness and can help obtain opportunities in the business environment. Continuous quest for learning or curiosity is one of the seven Da Vincian principles that could explain why even retirees have been gaining interest in adult education.
