Tower trip

A writer and his family rented the McCart Lookout Tower in the Bitterroot National Forest, MT, for three nights to assess if the tower can be a vacation getaway. The tower, which was formerly used by forest rangers to detect fires, rents for $25 a night and is ideal for hiking vacations.
