Unforgettable NOW intern lives on
Article Abstract:
The death of Jessica Glasser, an intern at the Communications Dept of the National Organization for Women (NOW) National Action Center, was a big loss to the organization and the whole feminist cause. The magna cum laude graduate from Emory University has the potential to become one of the champions for women's rights. She died in a car accident in May 24, 1996, at the age of 22. To honor and continue her work, her family established a memorial fund in her name with NOW to provide scholarships to students who could not afford to be interns at the Action Center.
