The car makers are launching various new luxury models for 1999 despite the global economy being in a downturn. Alfa Romeo, Audi, Bentley, BMW, Honda, Jaguar, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and Saab's new offerings are reviewed. The prices of these cars range from Lexus's $50,000 to Bentley's $800,000. The features of the various cars are detailed.

Vaulting into the limelight
Article Abstract:
Women in the US have been pole vaulting for years, but have only been allowed to participate in official competitions since 1993. Oregon approved pole vaulting programs for high school girls in Dec 1994, and even middle-aged women can excel at the sport.

A study investigating the impact of current ranking of crash locations in Flanders, Belgium by taking into account the most serious injury per crash, is presented. The Bayesian ranking plots is made use of in the study.
