Victory 2000 campaign underway across the U.S

The National Organization for Women has embarked on a monumental task of electing as many as 2000 women politicians in various government ranks in the country by the year 2000. 'Victory 2000 - The Feminization of Politics' is aimed at providing the necessary help to feminist politicians in order to help them promote women's rights protection in the government. Some of the feminists who are currently seeking for a seat in the Congress include Shirley Baca, Elizabeth Kelly, Tammy Baldwin and Virginia Woodward.

Women are winners in '95 elections
Article Abstract:
The National Organization for Women (NOW) was instrumental to the victory of women political candidates in the 1995 mid-term elections. It helped put to office women legislators in the states of Virginia, New Jersey and Mississippi. Another notable victory for NOW was the defeat of the anti-lesbian/gay measure in many states. Meanwhile, NOW is requesting financial support from women throughout the country to help fund and ensure the success of its political efforts for 1996.

The time to elect feminist candidates is NOW
Article Abstract:
The National Organization for Women (NOW), the largest feminist organization in the United States, is all geared up to fight the right-wing conservatives in the 1996 elections. The conservatives have been against the feminist issues taken up by NOW. NOW plans to start campaigning at the grass-roots level. The NOW/PAC has very strict criteria for the candidates it endorses. They must support the constitutional equality of women and also other feminist agendas of NOW.
