Public protests against the anti-women practices followed by retail giant Wal-Mart have forced the company present a more humane face in its TV commercials. Wal-Mart has responded to NOW's protests by saying that its activists could face arrests if the materials being handed out by them in their stores are not stopped immediately.

Grocery store workers caught up in Wal-Mart's race to the bottom
