Rock singer Melissa Etheridge explains how she overcame her fear after being detected with breast cancer and feels that it has changed her life for better. She has never been silent about the controversial details of her life, her childhood abuse, her lesbianism and her use of a sperm donor for her kids and hence she decided to go along with the entire treatment and continuing to sing, realizing that life is finite, and the human body will someday be destroyed.

A woman describes her experience of considering all these options and then finally understanding that the after-effects of all these procedures was a cause of concern and hence she accepted her body for the way it is.
