What a city: Indy!

Article Abstract:

A short description of Indianapolis, where the 1993 American Business Women's Assn National Convention will be held, is prsented. Indianapolis, the capital city of the state of Indiana, boasts of the fourth lowest crime rate of the 50 largest cities in the US. Selected pointers on what to see, where to shop, where to dine and where to have fun are provided. It is the site of the famous 500-mile race at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Barbara Boddicker: mentoring motivations

Article Abstract:

Success came due to a variety of factors for Barbara Boddicker, a recipient of the 1993 Top Ten Business Women award of the American Business Women's Assn. Boddicker is a firm advocate of mentoring and effective communication as important tools for success. She also believes that a woman who can balance her professional and personal lives well and tap her creative energies to address problems can be a success in the long run.

Article Abstract:

Several suggestions are offered to maximize the financial benefits to be derived from mail-order shopping. The advice covers such areas as quantity purchases, incentives, sales, designers, books and music. The distinct advantages of mail-order shopping are also described. Mail-order shoppers are also forewarned on insurance matters and to check the reputation of the catalog company.
