When fever leads to a seizure

Article Abstract:

Children suffering from a fever require monitoring. Fever is a common cause of convulsions in children, and a child who suffers a convulsion should be examined by the pediatrician in order to reduce the fever. Convulsions do not often cause lasting problems.

Fevers & fever seizures

Article Abstract:

Doctors consider children to be febrile when their temperature goes above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. A fever occurs in response to some type of bacterial or viral infection. High fevers may cause febrile seizures, but they usually are not harmful.

A sensitive subject - diaper rash

Article Abstract:

Diaper rash is often caused by wetness and is characterized by red, rough skin. It can also be caused by a build up of ammonia against a baby's skin. Ways to treat diaper rash in infants are described.
