When push comes to shove
Article Abstract:
The pushing phase of delivering a baby can be difficult and take a couple of hours. Mothers-to-be should be encouraged to push when the urge is strong even if they are not fully dilated as the cervix can accommodate the baby. Exhalation is also important during the pushing. Lying down is not good.
