A federal court has ruled in favor of the Food Safety and Inspection Service's proposed sampling and testing program for E. coli in raw ground beef. The program places the burden of ensuring the safety of meat products on the meat industry.

Why is hospital food so lousy?

Article Abstract:

A survey of 57 hospitals in New York revealed less than half having dietary guidelines provided to patients. Almost 40% exceeded the RDA for fat, 81% had much cholesterol, and 54% had increased levels of sodium.
