Exercise is generally proving to be a more effective method of losing weight than dieting. Most experts have come to the conclusion that diets do not work for most people in the long run. Despite the effort and money spent on fad diets, statistics show Americans are getting fatter.

Moderate physical activity can induce deeper slow-wave sleep that is highly restorative. Exercise should be done in the morning since overexertion and exercise performed within 1-2 hours before bedtime can increase wakefulness.
