Women of the world unite to end poverty and violence

Article Abstract:

Women from all over the United States and the rest of the world gathered in Washington, D.C. for the World March of Women on October 15, 2000. The women marched around the offices of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund to protest their policies that promote poverty and violence against women.

Sex versus gender

Article Abstract:

A feminist believes the current movement towards using the terms gender rights and gender studies is undermining the women's movement. By generalizing the women's movement into an issue of the social construct of gender, inside of the biological fact of sex, the message is too watered down.
