Article Abstract:
Many women prisoners using and dealing methamphetamine tend to face significant challenges in terminating involvement with this drug once leaving treatment. Methamphetamine is highly addictive, relatively low in cost and widely available, so recovery must involve a life free from use as well as from involvement in distribution and manufacture.

Does batterer treatment reduce violence? A synthesis of the literature
Article Abstract:
An evaluation of behavior therapy is presented, focusing on its effectiveness in reducing violent tendencies in individuals being treated. Findings show that treatment success depends on a variety of factors such as personal responsiveness, while data supporting one form of treatment over another is inconclusive.
