Working class mom

Article Abstract:

Suggestions are presented as to how working mothers can find ways to volunteer in their children's schools. For many of these working mothers, their work schedules are seemingly too inflexible to allow them to get involved with volunteer work, so they need to be more creative in finding ways to work in their spare time, or from home, or to take time off to help out with special projects.

'Working Mother' celebrates its 20th anniversary by looking back to a time in 1982 when working mothers were confronted with issues that are still around today. Daily work schedules, as predicted, have become more flexible and most working mothers today feel that they have more supportive employers who allow them to spend more time with their families.
