Worth believing in

Article Abstract:

Dexter Magnetic Materials VP Barbara Fears attributes her achievements to her belief in herself. She used to be full of self-doubt and thought that she would not amount to anything because she did not have a college degree. Fed up with clerical work, she decided to go back to school to earn her degree. She received her diploma 13 years later and gained enough confidence in herself to apply for a job at Dexter. She became vice president of human resources after just five years.
