Article Abstract:

The arrival of a new baby requires adjustments for both parents and grandparents. As new parents and their own parents and/or parents-in-law try to adjust to their respective roles, intergenerational conflicts could arise. Tips for overcoming such conflicts are discussed.

New parents' sleep needs

Article Abstract:

First-time parents often suffer from lack of sleep due to the irregular sleeping and waking hours of their babies. To ensure sufficient sleep, parents can break down their sleeping hours to coincide with the baby's, or alternate nighttime feedings with their partners.
