Article Abstract:
A visit to the far north to the CanadaEs oldest Arctic community is discussed. Hunting and fishing remain important symbolic activities among the older members of the Igloolik's 1,380 citizens and with tourism the economic mainstay, younger Inuit staff hotels, restaurants, grocery stores and the airport and there are schools, churches, a library, a bank a television station and a research lab.
