ATR/ATM-mediated phosphorylation of human Rad17 is required for genotoxic stress responses
Article Abstract:
There is a direct regulatory connection between the human Rad17 homologue (hRad17) and the checkpoint kinases ATM and ATR. Genotoxic stress has been found to spark off the association between ATM and ATR with hRad17 and the consequent phosphorylation of hRad17 at sites needed for G2 checkpoint function in mammalian cells.

hCds1-mediated phosphorylation of BRCA1 regulates the DNA damage response
Article Abstract:
Human Cds1 kinase is found to control BRCA1 function following DNA damage by phosphorylating serine 988 of BRCA1. hCds1 interacts with BRCA1, co-localizing in discrete nuclear foci, but separating following gamma irradiation. Phosphorylation of BRCA1 at serine 988 is necessary for the release of BRCA1 from hCds1.

Tyrosine phosphorylation in plant bending: Puckering in a ticklish plant is controlled by dephosphorylation of its actin
Article Abstract:
Actin in Mimosa pudica L is found to be greatly tyrosine-phosphorylated and it is proposed that tyrosine-phosphorylation of actin controls plant movements.
