Article Abstract:
The Kyoto Protocol addresses the global climate change and conservation of biodiversity. The protocol caps greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in participating industrialized nations from 2008 to 2012. This leads to development of international market in emissions credits, particularly in tropical countries.

Tropical Forest Fragments Enhance Pollinator Activity in Nearby Coffee Crops
Article Abstract:
Research in Costa Rica shows that forest fragments provide a wider diversity of bees as pollinators for nearby coffee plants than riparian strips. Implications for economic links between forest conservation and cultivation are discussed.
