Bringing animal control under control
Article Abstract:
Animal control standards have improved from the dogcatcher days but financial constraints stall the implementation of rules that call for further improvement. An evaluation of animal control facilities is presented and an alternative animal control management system is suggested.

San Mateo breeding ordinance gutted
Article Abstract:
An animal breeding ordinance in San Mateo County, CA that requires pet owners to obtain a $25 breeding permit or have their dogs and cats neutered will go into effect on Mar 1, 1991. Loopholes that have been added to the law will limit its effectiveness.
