Buttons, booklets, and bonobos
Article Abstract:
The Salonga National Park in Congo was created to protect the bonobo, a close relative of chimpanzee. Much of their populations has been destroyed by poaching and habitat loss. Scientists are coordinating a mammal survey in the park to collect more information about the bonbo's status and to train local researchers.
