Article Abstract:

The developments in computers and information technology greatly affect the practice of biology. By 2020 biologists will use computers, numerous omic data types and expanded biological literature to design experiments, generate and analyze new data, and most natural-language stories about biological function will be transformed into more sophisticated narratives, better organized and accessed by computers.
