Comfortably numb
Article Abstract:
Researchers believe that ketamine which started its life as an anesthetic, than as a psychedelic club drug, could hold key to understanding and treating depression. Ketamine hinders the activity of a complex molecular machine called the N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor, the NMDA receptor, which is one of the receptors for a neurotransmitter called glutamate, an activity relating to theory of depression.
