Comparison of two types of metapopulation models in real and artificial landscapes
Article Abstract:
The two most common modeling techniques, incidence function model and stage-based matrix models is compared and their accuracy in predicting patch occupancy for a real metapopulation is presented. It is suggested that the understanding of different models becomes increasingly important as conservation programs undertake the challenge of managing for multiple species in a landscape context.

Scenario planning: a tool for conservation in an uncertain world
Article Abstract:
When faced with uncontrollable, irreducible uncertainty, scenario planning offers a framework for developing more resilient conservation policies. The major benefits of using scenario planning for conservation are increased understanding of key uncertainties, incorporation of alternative perspectives into conservation planning and greater resilience of decisions to surprise.

Consensus versus conservation in the upper Colorado River Basin Recovery Implementation Program
Article Abstract:
Consensus based management is examined through the lens of Colorado River Recovery Implementation Program as this management model is qualified as the best substitute to government imposed regulation. Studies reveal that the recovery implementation program allowed development of the Colorado River's water and incorporated more voices in to the decision making process.
