Behind the hunt for the Higgs boson

Article Abstract:

Scientists are working towards the discovery of Higgs boson, the elusive particle predicted by physicists' understanding of mass. Scientists at the Tevatron particle collider at Fermilab in Batavia, Illinois, succeeded in finding the mass of another subatomic particle, the W. boson. This finding lowers the expected mass of the Higgs, bringing it further into the range in which the Tevatron might be able to find it.
