Edwin Stanton Good, 1871-1957: a brief biography
Article Abstract:
Edwin Stanton Good was a remarkable animal scientist. His most notable contribution to the field of animal science was his research on contagious abortion. He also made important research on cattle, swine and sheep health and nutrition. A member of various academic, civic and religious institutions, Good was also accorded the honor of being the first Southeasterner to be a member of the Saddle and Sirloin Club's Hall of Fame. Good died at the age of 86 on Apr 15, 1957.

Sewall Wright distinguished himself in the field of animal science by his works in the genetic improvement of domestic animals and plants. His studies on genetic variation contributed a lot to the advancement of animal genetics and his influence on quantitative genetics provided new insight and understanding of evolution under natural selection. Wright's theories and experiments are considered cornerstones in the field of animal science.

H.H. Kildee, 1884-1973: a brief biography
Article Abstract:
Dean Emeritus Henry Herbert Kildee served as Dean of Agriculture at Iowa State College (ISC) from 1933 to 1949. During his tenure, he made significant contributions to ISC's leadership in scientific agriculture. His guidance inspired his students to excel in their fields. His expertise was not confined to the academy: he helped the dairy industry tremendously. He died in 1973.
