Endophilin and CtBP/BARS are not acyl trasferases in endocytosis or Golgi fission

Article Abstract:

A lysophosphatidic acid acyl transferase (LPAAT) activity is proposed for carboxy terminal binding protein/brefeldin A ribosylated substrate (CtBP/BARS) a transcription corepressor that is implicated in dynamin independent endocytosis and fission of the Golgi in mitosis. The LPAAT activity associates with endophiling is a contaminant of the purification procedure and can be associated with the pleckstrin homology domain of dynamin and the LPAAT activity associated with CtBP/BARS is also a copurification artefact.

GTPase activity of dynamin and resulting conformation change are essential for endocytosis

Article Abstract:

Research is presented concerning the oligomerization and GTP binding by dynamin in the fruit fly Drosophila. The additional requirement for GTP hydrolysis and conformational change to attain endocytosis is discussed.

Architectural and mechanistic insights into an EHD ATPase involved in membrane remodelling

Article Abstract:

The functional implications of the Eps15 homology (EH)-domain-containing protein (EHD2) structure which would help to understand the nucleotide-dependent membrane deformation is reported.
