Evolution of magma-poor continental margins from rifting to seafloor spreading
Article Abstract:
Research indicating the existence of a zone of exhumed continental mantle between oceanic and continental crust on continental margins were magma-poor rifting has occurred is presented. It is suggested that the evolving stress and thermal fields are restricted by a rising and narrowing ridge of asthenospheric mantle.

Transition of Mount Etna lavas from a mantle-plume to an island-arc magmatic source
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the primary composition of the magma which erupted from Mount Etna, Italy, over the past 500,000-years. The change in composition of the magma during this period is discussed.

Mineral disequilibrium in lavas explained by convective self-mixing in open magma chambers
Article Abstract:
Research is presented concerning the use of petrological observations of andesite lava which erupted at Montserrat to present an explanation of the mineral disequilibrium which occurs in lavas.
